Hicks Family Farm is a diversified beef cattle operation owned by father-son team Paul and Ryan Hicks in Charlemont, MA.
They own 70 acres, including a 10-acre APR parcel, and lease an additional 150 acres in hay and pasture. They raise 18 head of beef cattle with 12 additional steers, as well as 7 pygmy goats and 35 pullets. They manage 50 acres in hay, 7 acres in vegetables, and 9 acres for a seasonal corn maze (including a nighttime “haunted maze” in October).
Paul and Ryan recently expanded the farm by purchasing remaining family farmland and have been investing in fencing and fertilizer to restore hay fields, and updating equipment.
